Durante i sopralluoghi che vengono effettuati a casa dei clienti, ci capita di imbatterci in stranezze impiantistiche; impianti eseguiti correttamente ma che contengono dei particolari poco comprensibili.

Nella foto qui sopra si possono vedere tre tipi di materiali utilizzati per collegare il boiler dell'acqua calda; ferro, rame e plastica.

Perchè usare il ferro con il rame e la plastica? Tre materiali che insieme non vanno proprio bene. Il ferro, di suo, produce ruggine e a peggiorare la situazione è l'essere unito al rame, combinazione "letale" per i nostri impianti.

La plastica è un materiale che non produce sedimenti e garantisce un flusso d'acqua sempre costante nel tempo.

Una nuova caldaia a condensazIone di marca Unical mod. KONE C35 va in sostituzione a un vecchio generatore di calore a basamento in ghisa. Data la mancanza di spazio dove montare la caldaia  è stato costruito un telaio al quale viene appeso il generatore e il collettore a spillamento. Il collettore è fatto a mano su misura per il cliente; in rame diametro 3" con attachi per lato caldaia, lato impianto, vaso d'espansione riscaldamento da 24lt e carico impianto automatico. Lo scarico fumi è di tipo coassiale 60/100 con uscita direttamente a tetto.

Avete una peridita di gas in casa o sulla linea del gas dal contatore al vostro appartamento e l'azienda del gas vi ho piombato il contatore? Non perdere tempo, chiamaci subito, la perdita verrà riparata nel più breve tempo possibile, verrà effettuata la prova di tenuta dell'impianto come da normativa UNI 7129-15 e l'azienda del gas vi riattiverà la fornitura gas.

Durante le nostre uscite per effettuare la manutenzione della caldaia, ci capita di imbatterci in strani stratagemmi per tamponare perdite o malfunzionamenti del generatore di calore.

Ecco un paio di esempi.

Diffidate da chi non porta a termine una corretta riparazione, stracci o bottiglie non sono di certo un metodo professionale per manutenere la vostra caldaia.

Questa settimana abbiamo installato una caldaia a condensazione Unical da incasso da 24Kw; caldaia compatta, con la funzionalità HWS (hot water speed) per eliminare il ritardo nella produzione di acqua calda, valvola deviatrice a tre vie, funzionamento fino a -15°, funzione antigelo elettronica. L'evequazione dei fumi è stata eseguita mediante l'utilizzo di tubi e raccordi in PPs. L'impianto di adduzione gas metano per il funzionamento della caldia e dei fuochi cucina è in rame saldato con sistema ossi-acetilenico, sistema efficace per la prevenzione di perdite dai raccordi e giunte sulla linea gas.

Secondo le attuali norme vigenti ogni due anni decorre l'obbligo di effettuare la verifica combustione e manutenzione caldaia per tutti gli impianti termici con potenza al focolare minore o uguale a 35Kw; per quanto riguarda le centrali termiche, gruppo termico con potenza superiore a 35Kw, la decorrenza è annuale.

Per manutenzione viene intesa la pulizia del corpo bruciatore, ugelli gas e corpo caldaia, in tal modo si garantisce la miglior efficienza e rendimento del nostro gruppo termico. Una volta effettuata la pulizia si passa alla verifica combustione. Con un apposito strumento vengono misurati i fumi di scarico della caldaia; da questi si evincono diversi valori, dalla temperatura fumi, alla percentuale di ossigeno e anidride carbonica in essi contenuti, al monossido di carbonio, al rendimento caldaia.

Terminate queste operazioni viene compilato il libretto impianto e l'allegato 1A, il quale verrá inserito nel catasto regionale Curit.

Una nuova caldaia Unical a tiraggio naturale di potenzialità pari a 25,5 kW ha trovato casa.

Questa è una classica installazione di caldaia assolutamente NON a norma. Come si può vedere in foto, il tubo dello scarico fumi evaqua direttamente nel locale, in questo caso cantina; non solo, anche la presa d'aria della caldaia è stata installata nello stesso locale.

Per una corretta installzione del codotto fumi, è necessario che questo vada a scaricare i fumi di combustione oltre il colmo del tetto e che la presa d'aria della caldaia aspiri direttamente fuori dal locale.

Questo impianto è assolutamente da mettere fuori servizio fino a quando non saranno state effettuate le modiche per mettere a norma il condotto fumi e aspirazione aria.

Most of the people have a deck in their property and 80% of those are not in good condition because of the weather, animals and usage. A periodical maintenance ensures a perfect deck condition and reduces the possibility of expensive cost of major repairs.

So, how can a deck be maintained?

First of all, in order to clean the surface of the deck from general dirt and previous oil base, it needs to be accurately sanded.

Then, it is important to remove the dust caused by the sanding deck and prepare the deck to be painted with an oil base.

At this point, with a decking oil applicator, we apply the first coat of oil. After a couple of hour, we can finalise our deck maintenance by applying a second oil coat. It is better to wait at least 10 hours before walking on the deck.

Choosing an exterior paint color is an intimidating exercise. Looking at those minuscule swatches and picturing what any one color will look like spread over your entire house is tough. It really feels like a make-or-break decision as far as the curb appeal of your house is concerned.

Paint has one advantage over other exterior housing materials — it can be changed. However, painting any part of a home is expensive to hire out and a large, time-consuming effort if undertaken yourself, so the pressure is on to get it right the first time.

How does a homeowner decide what colors would be appropriate for a home if it is time to repaint, either for reasons of maintenance or for purely aesthetic considerations? One clue is to look at the age and style of the home. Different decades have their own home color styles — remember teal and peach from the ’80s? Homeowners can look to the past for some ideas. However, be wary about being too trendy in the selection of exterior paint colors.

Clearly, the style of your home will have something to say about appropriate color choices. Craftsman and Tudor homes have a long history of featuring organic materials and colors while a mid-century modern can be more daring. People are sometimes surprised that Victorian homes historically sported amazingly bright colors.

Paint itself has come a long way in recent years. It is now possible to get a paint that is also a good primer; this may save a whole round of painting now that it is easier to cover old colors. As with any kind of painting project, diligent preparation of all the surfaces will go a long way toward a successful result.

However, some materials are best replaced rather than painted, such as vinyl siding. Brick can obviously be painted, though consulting with a good professional painter is recommended. Bricks come in a variety of textures, some of which accept paint better than others. It is also possible to stain brick, as opposed to painting it.

Like many things, there is a happy medium when it comes to exterior home colors. Some neighborhoods are deadly dull with all the houses some boring version of brown and beige — beige stucco, brown shingles, brown and beige stone. On the other hand, we occasionally see a home in some eyesore color combination not usually seen on a house — and for good reason.

Classic colors, such as a gray, white and black combination, are usually a safe bet. Every year, the major paint companies select a color to promote as "color of the year," though the public doesn't always follow their lead. Commercial paint companies also have color palettes they have created that give suggestions of several paint colors that work well together when used on a home's exterior.

How many colors should be used on a typical home? Three is a good starting place. The main wall color is called the field. This is usually accompanied by a trim or accent color. A third color can be used on the eaves, the front door or accents such as shutters.

But back to that trick of how to pick a color that will look great on your home. Of course, there are apps. One is available from Home Depot and is called Project Color. You can take a picture of your home, select a color and see what it looks like on your home's exterior. This is more to select a general color (blue? green? yellow?) than an exact name and number of a swatch.

The other trick to finding that perfect color is to be willing to spend some money to make sure of your selection. By this, we mean get several quart samples and paint them on the house, thereby enlarging those tiny samples into 4-foot square swatches. This can help you to make an informed selection, and you can see what happens as the light changes on each side of the house and throughout the day.

Finally, look at your house in the context of your street or neighborhood. Will the new color ruffle any feathers? Will it stand out in a good way?

People more often err on the side of being too conservative (read: boring) when selecting exterior paint colors. Drive around and see what color combinations appeal to you and what will go with your house style. Make use of websites (such as houzz.com), social media and apps to explore all you can before you try colors on the actual house.

Be brave, be thoughtful, be proactive. By carefully preparing for an exterior paint upgrade, you can soon have a home that looks fresh, clean and up-to-date.

We are sometimes used to "close our eyes" in front of the bathroom grouts; it seems that we do not want to be conscious about the importance of our health.

 Shower room,  due to the umidity caused by steam, it is a perfect environment for the mold growing. In some cases, these spores may be cause allergy, breathing issues and skin diseases.

So, why would we take this risk?  

All you need to do is remove the grouts accurately and clean the spaces between the tailes; at this point, we regrout the shower base and walls.

After a tough job, here is your nice and clean shower room. Now you do not have " close your eyes" anymore.

You spend roughly 1/3 of your life sleeping, so shouldn’t you sleep in a room that contributes to sweet dreams? An uninspired or disorganized bedroom can make it tough to relax, and it probably doesn’t help your disposition in the morning, either. Step 1:

Make sure that floor and ceiling are in level. In this case a wooden frame has been built to ensure the fence posts and rails to a solid structure.

Step 2:

Start by inserting the fence sheets from the bottom rail; three sheets are usually required to complete a rail. In the middle of the fence two gates have been installed included a latch.

Tips #1

When people try to build gates themselves, they inevitably undersize the hinges, and the gates weigh too heavily on them. You have to know that the hinges and the posts are going to hold the gate. If you have a pressure-treated gate, which can be very heavy (and when it rains, the wood absorbs water and gets even heavier), you must set the posts much deeper and with more cement around them. In short: make sure the hinges are properly sized to hold enough weight.

Tip #2

Once the fence is installed, it's important that you let it dry out. There are certain moistures and finishes that the manufacturer applies to the fence, and if you try to stain and preserve the wood ahead of time, the product you apply probably won't be absorbed by the wood. Remember: Painting needs to be done every few years. Another way to get the fence to last longer is just to apply clear wood preservatives. If you want, you can stain the fence. All of this will help the longevity of the fence.

Tip #3

It's important to realize that the nice side of the fence needs to face the neighbors, and the integrity side, with the wood rails and everything else, is going to face the inside. If the nice side faces your house, there could be hard feelings.

Tip #4

Some people will take the dry concrete mix, put it in the hole and then use a hose to add water. It's an easier way to do it, but the concrete doesn't set as hard. You can set the post right on the soil that's in the hole and put cement around it, because it will become one unit.
